As we move into the 2024-2025 school year, we are trying to centralize all of our PK-12 activities under one umbrella. With the help of Bound we believe we can do that. The calendar can be viewed at https://www.gobound.com/ia/schools/springville#. There is also an app (if you follow Springville, it pops up to the Springville page every time) that you can download and we know there are some limits that the phone can do unless you get the opportunity to utilize it often. Please contact AD, Joe Martin, at jmartin@springville.k12.ia.us if you have any questions or need help. A few items to help you:
- If you want to check schedules, rosters, maps, or other logistics of actual events - the app is very useful
- If you want to upload paperwork, register for camps or programs, or other personal information - a computer is very useful
- Utilize the chat function for any questions and they have very good response to your questions (green button in bottom right on computer and in profile on the app)
There are still some elementary yearbooks available! Yearbooks are $25.00 each and can be purchased in the elementary office.

The Wellness Coalition of Rural Linn County
The WCRLC is a nonprofit prevention organization that partners with six rural communities in
rural Linn County. Those communities are: Mount Vernon, Lisbon, Springville, Central City,
Alburnett, and Center Point. Mount Vernon Community School District is the Fiscal Agent of the
Wellness Coalition, allowing them to receive funding from the federal government where they
focus on three key areas:
-Reducing substance use
-Educating on mental health
-Improving overall wellness.
Our mission is to educate and empower individuals to make better choices with all aspects of
their wellness. Creating healthier communities and healthier futures.
Since our inception in 2006, the Wellness Coalition has been addressing the concerns of
underage drinking, mental health, and risky behaviors by students; as well as supporting the
needs of adults, parents, and community members.
We coordinate prevention and awareness opportunities and events to bring information to
parents, adults, teachers, youth and community members, based on specific needs in specific
areas.
Who should be involved?
Everyone! The Wellness Coalition welcomes representation from a multitude of sectors: youth,
parents, law enforcement, schools, businesses, media, youth serving organizations, religious
and fraternal organizations, civic and volunteer groups, health care professionals, state and
local agencies, and any individual or organization wanting to make a positive impact on these
communities in rural Linn County.
The Wellness Coalition holds a monthly meeting on the third Thursday of most months from
noon – 1 pm, both in-person or on Zoom. Please connect and join us- all are welcome!
If you would like to find out more about the Wellness Coalition of Rural Linn County, please
